What makes us stand out as an excellent place to work?
We’re not your everyday consulting firm. We’re a destination for top consulting talent, frustrated with
large/typical consultancy ways.
At Ampersand, we practise what we preach and ensure that we apply the principles of sustainability to our own people and work environment. We are a disruptor that is looking to prove that the best work is done when people are given opportunity, trust, space and time to get the job done their way, on their own terms. There are no rigid hierarchies, no ‘this-is-how-its-done’ mentality and no models to work by. It’s just us, and we work as a group to grow this business together, solving our clients’ biggest challenges.

Here’s what we pride ourselves on:

-
Genuine and open culture, home-grown by a diverse, small team whereby your input feeds the development of the firm.
-
Work-life balance - we’re sensible and don’t work weekends or late evenings. We believe people do their best work when they stay fresh.
-
Impact for everyone - all our team can take the lead be that with clients, writing blog posts to capture our expertise or helping us scale our internal business structures/processes.
-
Work from where you want - for us, it’s outcomes that matter. Typically, our team spends ~3 days per week in the office (in London) as we like to collaborate effectively and have fun. Our team is very international so commonly people will combine working from overseas with some annual leave to go on holiday or visit friends and family.
-
We’re all entrepreneurs - because we are small and relatively newly formed, we’re still building - so we love people who want to get stuck in and take ownership. You can truly build your own platform here as there’s so much white space for growth.
-
There’s no hierarchy - our analysts and consultants are our future partners.
-
We believe in work being enjoyable and having fun as a team.
-
We’re passionate about sustainability and truly believe in our mission.
About our work & clients:
We work with a number of carbon-intensive industries:
-
TMT – we are active with tech, cloud, network and data centres because they are a growing part of the carbon question and need to get wider ESG right to be competitive. We are keen to help innovate and reshape the industry towards the most sustainable business models.
-
Commercial Real Estate - We are strongly passionate about market transformation in the CRE sector. As such, we are one of five project partners working with the UK Green Building Council to shape the future of renewable energy procurement for the built environment.
-
Energy Sector - The energy industry is in transition, shaped by powerful forces. Key players like energy investors, developers, suppliers and operators all look to us when they require our expertise.
-
Wider sustainability work - We believe that sustainability is more than just a compliance/ESG box-ticking exercise. It’s about preparing for the stakeholder economy and a radical shift in the economic model. We support a wide range of clients across various industries to achieve this.
